Submersible
Submersible pumps are just that, they are installed in the well with the tank system in the basement . Depending on the water yield in the well and demand for the home or irrigation, the pump system can be designed. ½ horsepower to 1 horsepower pumps are common for household use.
Larger volume pumps up to 60 horsepower are commonly installed for agriculture and industrial use. Increased horsepower and gallons per minute needed for the project will have an effect on well diameter.
Jet / Centrifical
These pumps are common in shallow wells form ½ horsepower to 1 ½ horsepower. Located in a pit or basement can be easily inspected or repaired. Jet pumps are used on jeep wells with the water being 25 feet or greater. The pump works the jet which is installed in the well.
